Aftera first-place win at the IHSA Sectional Competition for their performance of “Ratatouille,” the Joliet West High School Group Interpretation Team competed at the IHSA State Finals March 23-25 in Chatham, IL.  Of the 18 talented schools competing at State Finals, Joliet West placed fourth, making program history.

The IHSA Group Interpretation events are highly competitive and are known for the wealth of student talent represented throughout. 

Joliet West All-State cast members include Karis Posteluk (Remy), Daniel Sanchez (Linguini), Bethany Yanchick (Ego), Lesly Hernandez (Gusteau), Molly Murdock-Schey (Mama Djanga), Jae Jumper (Colette), Xavier Long (Skinner), and Savion Long (Mousician).  

The 2023 “Ratatouille” cast includes Karis Posteluk, Daniel Sanchez, Lesly Hernandez, Xavier Long, Jae Jumper, Molly Murdock-Schey, Caitlyn Murdock-Schey, Kendra Posteluk, Bethany Yanchick, Savion Long, Joey Dowling, Jae Jumper, and Zoila Torres.

The Joliet West Group Interpretation Director is Kristin Blake, and the Assistant Director is Tony Nardi.
