An innovative collaboration with Joliet Central High School teacher Michelle Cottrell’s Entrepreneurship class. The JTHS Entrepreneurship Class equips students with the essential components vital to entrepreneurial success, encompassing areas such as marketing, management, human resources, and finance. The class also acknowledges that indispensable concepts, such as fostering soft skills and networking are best acquired through practical exposure.
In pursuit of this goal, Ms. Jane Condon, a prominent member of the Rotary organization, played a pivotal role in establishing a synergistic partnership between Rotary and JTHS, aimed at connecting Rotary members with Entrepreneurship students based on shared career interests. The inaugural meeting that took place on Tuesday marked the inception of this dynamic collaboration, enabling students to engage in networking activities, enhance their soft skills, and seek valuable insights concerning their future career aspirations.
“The event provided an exceptional opportunity for all participants, facilitating an exchange of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly benefit both students and their Rotarian mentors,” said Cottrell. “This partnership is slated to continue throughout the month, ensuring that every student is afforded the privilege of engaging in luncheons and educational interactions with professionals from their local community.”
