The snow didn’t stop many families from coming out on Saturday, January 6, to pick up a warm coat. Hope and Divine Purpose Transition Home, Inc/Israeio Holloway, CEO and Igniting The Fire Prayer Ministry located 134 East Cass Street on Joliet’s eastside had a winter coat giveaway for area families who could use a new heavy coat to brave the cold winter. Thirty families were served.
“We would like to thank our partners Burlington Coat Factory, Victory Secrets and Holy Spirit Catholic Community for their generous donations that helped make an impact in our community, said organizer Israeio Holloway.
“We are always seeking donations to help us replenish our supplies of diapers, community household items such as tissue, paper towels, detergent, soap, and other needed items. Please send monetary donations only at this time,” Holloway said. Donations can be given by visiting ignitingthefireprayer.com or endsilencegivehope.org. news@thetimesweekly.com
