EASY STRAWBERRY COBBLER RECIPE PHOTO BY TASTE OF HOME

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • TOPPING:
  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter
  • 1-1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
  •  Whipped cream, optional

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° degrees. Arrange strawberries in a greased 9×9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar and flour; toss to coat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cream just until moistened. Spoon over strawberries. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon sugar.
  3. Bake until topping is lightly browned and filling is bubbly, 35-40 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream if desired.
