The Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park and Theatre presents the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss in Seussical, a musical comedy for all ages. Come meet the Cat in the Hat as he spins a tale about a tail, an elephant, and a boy called Jojo on their adventure of friendship and restoring peace. See your childhood books jump off the page with the wonderful performers of the Circus McGurkus and the animals of the Jungle of Nool. One might even spot the Grinch and his dog, Max. All of this with the music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lyn Ahrens.
Seussical opens Friday June 14 (Father’s Day weekend) and runs two weekends through June 23. Fridays (June 14 and 21) and Saturdays (June 15 and 22) performances are at 7:00 pm and Sundays (June 16 and 23) at 2:00 pm. This talented cast is directed by Elana Carmine, with music directed by Mark Epling, who also directs the live music pit band, and choreographed by Lori Bowen.
Elana motivates her cast with the classic Dr. Seuss quote, “Think! Think and wonder. Wonder and think.” Elana reflects, “I think it encapsulates the whole show. It captures or reignites your childhood imagination.”
