After the Peanut Foundation will host their annual Summer Soirée on Thursday, July 24, 2024, at the Jacob Henry Mansion from 5:00 PM to 8:30PM. With the support of attendees, After the Peanut will continue to provide enriching, STEAM-driven education solutions to create more equitable learning opportunities for students in Joliet and surrounding communities.
Sponsored by Old National Bank, Summer Soirée aims to raise funds for After the Peanut’s current and future education initiatives which broaden students’ knowledge of STEAM opportunities available to them.
The family-friendly event will feature live musical performances from Soul 2 The Band and Will Carter Music. Activities include lawn games and a science-themed wine tasting. Guests will also enjoy delicious small plates with vegan and vegetarian options available.
Tickets for the event, which include seating, two drink vouchers, and a variety of small plates, can be purchased by visiting the Eventbrite page. Limited tickets may be available at the door while supplies last. Ticket sales and donations from this event will contribute to current and future After the Peanut STEAM education initiatives, such as their annual summer camps and Full STEAM Ahead training for educators.
