The Supervisor of Joliet Township Government is the chief executive officer responsible for managing township funds, providing general assistance to those in need, and serving as treasurer of the Road and Bridge fund.
The Joliet Township Board of Trustees has appointment Alicia Morales as the new Supervisor of Joliet Township Government, effective July 16, 2024.
Alicia Morales brings experience, leadership, and dedication to her new role, marking ahistoric milestone in the community’s governance.
Morales is a lifelong resident of Joliet and Will County, deeply rooted in the community’s fabric according to a spokesperson from the Township.
Morales has an associate from Joliet Junior College and a degree from the University of St. Francis and was previously a licensed bilingual teacher and is the current Vice Chairwoman of the Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees.
Morales is also an entrepreneur, having founded her own Allstate Insurance agency in 2020.
She has served as Joliet Township Government Clerk since 2021, according to Morales, during her time as Township Clerk she expanded numerous initiatives that have significantly enhanced the community, that include Expansion of programs and services
o Community Violence Intervention (CVI) initiatives

▪ CVI Services: Victim Advocacy, Case Management & Outreach
▪ CVI Behavioral Health and wrap-around services
o Transportation Department that offers rides to senior residents, residents with disabilities, and for partner agency clients.
o VITA tax preparation helping low-income residents and senior residents with free income tax preparation services.

o Availability of free notary services more than doubled
o Ensured Senior Tax Levy funds distributed to diverse senior clubs
• Acquisition of Ozzie & Peggy Mitchell Center (formerly Peter Claver Center) in 2022

All of the accomplishments were made possible by additional funding awarded by state and federal grants over the last two years totaling $3,783,190.
“I am excited to continue the work that this administration has started. The foundation of all our programs has been established. I’m ready to see them through with our team to fruition in serving our Township residents,” said Morales.
