Twenty-one Joliet Public Schools District 86 students received the Superintendent’s Award for the first trimester of the 2024-2025 school year. Superintendent Dr. Theresa Rouse, along with the school principal, presented the awards to the students.

Cunningham Elementary; Samuel Sunda, Dirksen Junior High; Aldo Melgarejo, Eisenhower Academy; Makel Wilson, Farragut Elementary; Romeo Vara, Forest Park Individual Education (I.E.); Isabella Salgado, Gompers Junior High; Gabriel Garcia, Hufford Junior High; Xavier Granda, Thomas Jefferson Elementary; Calliope Burgess, Edna Keith Elementary; Itzel Ochoa Sanchez, A.O. Marshall Elementary; Dylan Bravo, Marycrest Early Childhood Center; Nick Gomez, Pershing Elementary; Iyana Reyes, Sator Sanchez Elementary; Deonta Moore, Carl Sandburg Elementary; Scarlet Curry, Isaac Singleton Elementary; Gabriel Rios, Taft Elementary; Aaron Aguillon, Lynne Thigpen Elementary; Iziah Green, Thompson Instructional Center; A’shia Hobbs, Washington Junior High; and Sofia Cornejo, Woodland Elementary.
