State Rep. Natalie Manley, (D-Joliet), shines a spotlight on the services provided by the Veteran Assistance Commission of Will County (VACWC) 365 days a year.
“We express our profound gratitude to those who have selflessly served our country,” said Manley. “Even after Veterans Day has come and gone, we should continue to remember their sacrifices.
Therefore, I intend to raise awareness about the vital resources available to our veterans all year long, particularly through the dedicated work of our partners at VACWC.”
The VACWC stands ready to offer personalized support in accessing a comprehensive suite of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each veteran. These services include:

- Employment Assistance Program: Empowers veterans to re-enter the workforce by connecting them with job training programs, job fairs, and employer partnerships.
- Combat Veteran Counseling: Offers compassionate counseling services to veterans who have experienced the emotional and psychological impact of combat, providing a safe space to heal and recover.
- Homeless Veteran Prevention Program: Proactively addresses the issue of veteran homelessness by providing vital support to prevent veterans from falling into crisis.
- Department of Veteran Affairs Compensation/Pension: Assists veterans in navigating the complex process of applying for and receiving well-deserved VA benefits.
