The Joliet City Center Partnership (CCP) has brought back the popular Follow Your Art event. Scheduled for February 6, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the heart of Downtown Joliet. The event offers a unique opportunity to experience many genres of art while enjoying local businesses and community spirit.
This year’s event will feature art-themed activities that celebrate the season of love, perfect for attendees of all ages. Visitors can explore over a dozen participating downtown businesses offering a variety of engaging experiences, including:
- Art pop-ups
- Permanent jewelry creations
- Medium and tarot card readings
- Craft activities
- Rom-com bingo
- Live music
- And more!
A highlight of the evening will be an Edible Art Demo hosted by Andy Chleban, Certified Master Pastry Chef at Joliet Junior College, at 5:30 p.m.
Local restaurants will also join the celebration by offering exclusive food and drink specials throughout the event. Maps and a full schedule of activities will be available at participating locations on February 6, or online at www.jolietdowntown.com/followyourart. Keep in mind, while parking is always free in the Ottawa Street parking deck (110 N. Ottawa) after 7 p.m., those wishing to leave before can take advantage of the free parking validation program at any Chicago Street restaurant or retail shop.
To add an extra element of fun, attendees are encouraged to collect entry forms at each participating business they visit. Each completed form entered by 9:00 p.m. on February 6 gives visitors a chance to win an I Love Downtown Joliet goodie bag. Forms can be submitted at Internode Greenery and Home or Colibri: The Hummingbird Oases.
Vicki Sanchez, Interim Executive Director of the Joliet City Center Partnership, expressed her excitement about the event stating: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our small business owners to showcase their artistic flair while providing a fun and engaging experience for visitors during the winter season.”
