The Joliet Township High School District 204 Board of Education recently administered the oath of office, appointed officers, and selected the District’s representative to the Governing Board of the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB).

During the meeting, Board Member and former board President, Michelle Stiff administered the oath of office to returning members Matthew Kennedy, Lorraine Guerrero Neumayer, and Christine Lynn, officially reinstating them for another term. Following the administration of the oath, the Board voted to appoint Matthew Kennedy as President, Lorraine Guerrero Neumayer as Vice President, and Michelle Stiff as Secretary. Christine Lynn was appointed to serve as the JTHS representative to the IASB Governing Board.
Members of the Joliet Township High School District 204 Board of Education are elected by residents within the district’s boundaries. They volunteer their time to lead the district, serving four-year terms on a staggered basis. The Board is responsible for adopting policies and regulations that govern the school district and operates in full compliance with Illinois state laws and Illinois State Board of Education regulations.
