Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park & Theatre’s 51st season of  “Concerts on the Hill” kicks off June 5 at 6:30 pm and continues each Thursday in June, July and August. Find your favorite lawn chair and blanket to relax on the big hill by the waterfront. In keeping with tradition, the concerts are still free!

The grand opening lineup is also a tradition: the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra, playing here for decades, and the champion Joliet American Legion Band – which has been playing here since the very beginning. Plan to get there early – it’s a big night!

Concessions and soft drinks will be available, courtesy of Lightning Event concessions, who will be bringing out the grill for the opening concert on June 5. Picnic baskets are welcome. As a friendly reminder, no outside alcohol is allowed.

The City of Joliet Park truly appreciates everyone who supports this downtown cultural arts tradition, the entertainers and countless hours of preparation, City of Joliet Police Department, dedicated volunteers, emcees, anthem soloists and ushers – Joliet Kiwanis Club, Joliet Noon Lions Club and Target team members.

Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park & Theatre is located at 201 West Jefferson Street, downtown Joliet. Free parking is available in the park and south of Jefferson Street. For more information:   www.bicentenialpark.orgbipark@joliet.gov and 815-724-3761
