Staff and volunteers unload recycled items at a Fall 2024 Will County Green Recycling and Collection event. The Fall 2025 schedule has been released, which offers a variety of options for Will County residents to recycle home items.

“Recyclepalooza” kicks off Fall recycling schedule

Will County’s Resource Recovery & Energy Division has released its Fall 2025 Will County Green recycling and collection event schedule. The schedule includes collection events for electronics, household items, household hazardous waste, motor oil, scrap metal, and other items.

Visit www.WillCountyGreen.com to schedule an appointment for any of the events or see the full list of items that will be accepted. Please note: most events require registration ahead of time and are open to all residents of any community fully or partially in Will County.

“These are some of our most popular events of the year, offering an opportunity for residents to responsibly dispose of household items and help keep items out of landfills,” said Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant. “This is a great time to clean out the closet or garage to find those unwanted items for recycling or reuse.”

Coinciding with the Fall schedule, Will County has also launched a “Caps On” campaign to bring attention to the importance of recycling plastic bottles, tubs, and jugs. The campaign is aimed at raising awareness that caps are allowed on plastic items when they are recycled, a reversal of outdated education that instructed people to add them to the garbage. Residents can learn more about the campaign and other general recycling tips by visiting the Will County Green website.
