Bicentennial Park

The City of Joliet has opened submissions for 2026 programming at the newly developed City Square and Concerts on the Hill at the historic Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park and Theatre.

Artists, performers, instructors, or arts organizations looking to share their talents with the community are invited to apply to be part of the City’s 2026 lineup of performances, classes and cultural experiences.

Programming opportunities include performances in music, dance, performing arts and spoken word; and instruction such as wellness classes such including yoga, Zumba, Pilates, dance instruction and more.

To be considered for the City’s upcoming 2026 programming season, those interested should fill out the 2026 Performer and Instructor Application found on the City’s website at www.Joliet.gov/our-city/visitors/city-square.

Performers and instructors will be compensated for their time if selected for inclusion in the 2026 lineup.

Submission does not guarantee selection, and applications will be reviewed based on program needs, artistic quality and community fit.

“As we build out our 2026 programming, we want to use City Square and Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park to showcase and celebrate the incredible talent we have in the region,” said Ann Sylvester, director of Joliet Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. “With engaging events, family-friendly activities, and Concerts on the Hill performances, we’re creating experiences that bring energy and life to our downtown.”
