The City of Joliet is issuing a final reminder to eligible organizations that the deadline to apply for 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding is Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. The City anticipates receiving CDBG funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the 2026 Program Year and encourages all interested applicants to submit materials before the deadline.
Application materials are available at https://www.joliet.gov/government/departments/community development/neighborhood- services-division/hud-notices. All funded projects and programs must be located in low- to moderate-income areas or primarily serve low- to moderate-income households. Applicants are reminded that all required documentation must be submitted to meet eligibility criteria, including organizational, financial, and project-specific materials. The City’s estimated CDBG allocation for 2026 is $924,055.
