Tickets to the Museum at the Obama Presidential Center go on sale tomorrow, May 6th at 9 a.m. The center is opening on Chicago’s South Side for global visitors starting June 19. Tickets are available at www.obama.org/visit/museum-tickets.
Given the intense interest in the center, the Foundation expects high demand for tickets when the queue opens at 9 a.m. Weekend and summer dates are expected to sell out most quickly.
Guests may experience a wait before making their purchase; however, spots in the electronic line are saved. Guests can purchase up to nine tickets, and the Foundation recommends having a few alternative dates and times in mind in case a guest’s first choice is not available.
All Museum entry is timed-ticketed, and visitors are strongly encouraged to reserve tickets online in advance. Illinois residents can also reserve free Museum admission for the Illinois Free Days on Tuesdays. While Museum entry will require a timed ticket, all other areas of the 19.3-acre campus are free and accessible.
The Museum itself is situated in the 19.3-acre campus that is free and available for the public to visit. The Museum invites visitors to experience dynamic exhibits across four floors that explore the promise of democracy and the work of the Obama Presidency. Through immersive storytelling and interactive installations, guests will engage with the legacy of America’s first Black president and First Lady and reflect on the enduring power of civic participation. Details of the Museum experience can be found here.
