National I AM She ribbon cutting of I AM Day for Women’s History Month

Published on

She ROCKS It celebrated the first National I AM Day with a ribbon-cutting grand opening event at Rock Run Convention Center at 1471 Rock Creek Blvd in Joliet on Sunday. Notable women in attendance were Alderwoman of Crest Hill, Mayor of Broadview, Miss Black Illinois, VP of Joliet Junior College, and many other dynamic women came in support of the inaugural national day.

The new I AM Day has been registered with the National Day Calendar and is now set for the 2nd Sunday in March each year during Women’s History Month. It is a day when She ROCKS It asks everyone to declare I AM! Organizers of I AM Day said whatever follows your I AM___ is your truth and should be celebrated. The opening event for the nationally recognized day was an afternoon of networking, panel discussions, entertainment, and shopping with over 30 vendors.

The women who attended were encouraged to continue striving to reach their full potential through self-empowerment, self-motivation, and self-encouragement.

“Hosting the Inaugural, I AM SHE EXPO on National I AM DAY which is celebrated around the world on the 2nd Sunday in March each year, was truly a historical day for my organization.  Receiving a national day is an example of what persistence, hard work and dedication look like.  Do the things in life that make your Soul satisfied and go after the things you want in life with no regret!  That’s My Soul Point of View,” said Founder of She Rocks It, Joyce Dawkins.

She ROCKS It is dedicated to creating events that give women an unforgettable experience. The events are created with today’s women in mind, empowering them to live their best life by showing the world who SHE is.

In January 2023, National Day Calendar collaborated with S.H.E Inc 501c3 Sisters Helping Each-Other and the She ROCKS It organization to create National I AM Day. This new celebration encourages everyone to set daily positive affirmations for themselves to practice self-care. www.sherocksit.com
