Romeoville welcomes three new Restaurants

Published on

There are three new restaurants that are open or opening soon in Romeoville that will have you looking forward to lunch and dinner. Faiza, Halsted Street Dawgs, and Happy Bites.

Faiza is a Central Asian restaurant located at 365 S. Budler Road that serves up dishes that follow halal standards. Try beef dumplings, lamb and rice, and many kinds of tea, desserts, and specialty appetizers. They are currently open.
A new eatery will be occupying the space at 457 N Weber: Halsted Street Dawgs. They will be serving up burgers, Polish sausage, Vienna Beef hot dogs, Italian beef, and fresh off the cone gyros in addition to salads, pizza puffs and more. Owned by two brothers, they are looking to open by mid-April.

Happy Bites currently has a location in Tinley Park, where they were featured on WGN-TV’s Chicago’s Best Burgers. They offer a wide variety of food, from their hand-made, gourmet burgers like the Hawaiian BBQ salmon burger to bone in and boneless wings, cauliflower wings, grilled chicken salads, and a variety of sides. Learn more about them at happybitesburger.com. They should be open this summer in the new retail building near the intersection of Greenwood and Route 53.

“We are excited about these new offerings for our residents,” said Mayor Noak. “As the weather gets nicer, people are looking to get out and about and these three businesses are offering up something new for people to try.”

Development season is just getting started and there are anticipated to be more announcements coming soon.
