Joliet West High School proudly announces that 69 of its students have earned the prestigious honor of Illinois State Scholar. These students were recognized for their exceptional academic achievements at the February 18, 2025, Board of Education meeting.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission gives State Scholar designation annually to senior students who are in the top half of their graduating class and/or scored at or above the 95th percentile nationally on the ACT or SAT.
Principal Tecara Parker expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments, saying, “We are incredibly proud of our Illinois State Scholars. This recognition highlights their commitment to academic excellence and their determination to succeed. These students represent the best of Joliet West High School, and we are excited to celebrate their achievements.”
