Both Valley View School District 365U high schools, Bolingbrook HS, and Romeoville HS, are among the high schools across the United States identified in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Annual Rankings of America’s Best High Schools. Bolingbrook HS ranks 92nd in the state of Illinois and Romeoville HS ranks 127th.
Those rankings place both schools among the top 18% of the 679 public high schools in Illinois ranked by US News. (There are an estimated 800-plus high schools in Illinois.)
Bolingbrook High School’s 2025 ranking is and improvement by 35 places over its 2024 ranking, one of the largest improvements by any high school in Illinois. “Bolingbrook High School’s ranking is a reflection of the collaborative work done every day by our students, teachers, staff members, and parents and guardians,” said Bolingbrook HS Principal Dr. Jason Pascavage. “We work as a team to continually build on the foundation of learning put into place beginning in VVSD’s Early Childhood program and continuing through the moment our students walk across the stage as a VVSD graduate.”
” Romeoville High School’s annual appearance in these ratings is point of pride for both our students and our staff,” said Romeoville HS Principal Derek Kinder. “We are fortunate to be part of a community that places a high value on the education of students and supports the tireless efforts of our staff to ensure that our students are college, career, and life ready upon graduation.”
Bolingbrook HS ranks second and Romeoville HS ranks fifth among the member schools of the Southwest Prairie Conference. In addition to VVSD’s two high schools, the SPC members are Joliet Central, Joliet West, Minooka, Oswego, Oswego East, Plainfield Central, Plainfield East, Plainfield North, Plainfield South, and Yorkville.
Both schools are ranked in the Top 20% among Illinois High Schools for the fifth year in a row.
