Nathaniel Hill sentenced to 80 years in 2020 Joliet Murder
On June 12, 2020, Hill and Williams-Scott had an argument while seated inside a car. During the argument, Williams-Scott struck Hill in the back of the head and left the car. Hill then left the car and shot Williams-Scott multiple times. He then fled the scene in the car both men were in.

Hastings advances measure to fight crime
Illinois may soon have a law on the books to help law enforcement quickly track stolen vehicles, thanks to State Senator Michael E. Hastings.
Hastings (D-Frankfort) advanced House Bill 2245, which requires Cook County to establish a vehicle theft hotline to facilitate the location of a stolen vehicle.

Jordan Henry sentenced to 22 years in aggravated vehicular hijacking on Diversey Parkway in Chicago
At 10:55 a.m. on February 23, 2022, while armed with a handgun, Henry attempted to carjack an individual entering his vehicle outside a 7-Eleven convenience store in Chicago’s Lincoln Park area while armed with a firearm. Jordan aimed his gun at the victim’s face and the victim fled the scene

Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow announces Nicole Vieni found guilty of aggravated battery and Domestic Violence Against Senior Citizen
. The victim was in her bed in her locked bedroom when Vieni, who was intoxicated, broke through the door and struck the victim several times, knocking her to the floor.

Glasgow announces former gymnastics coach Jose Vilchis sentenced to 96 yrs for Criminal Sexual Assault of Female Gymnast
“Jose Vilchis is a reprehensible sexual predator who calculatingly used his position of trust and authority to take advantage of innocent girls,” Glasgow said. “He repeatedly preyed upon young gymnasts in private under the guise of being a caring coach. I commend these young women for their courage in coming forward and telling their stories. Although nothing can undo the damage he caused, he will spend the rest of his days in a prison cell unable to prey on anyone else.”
