Juneteenth, a day of celebration for freedom

Bolingbrook is having their Free Juneteenth Celebration   June 17th, themed “Celebration of Community Inspiration and Unity.” Annually, community members partner with varies companies and organizations to host a Juneteenth festival to benefit Bolingbrook and surrounding communities.

The 6th Annual She ROCKS It gala celebrates Women Who ROCK  

The Blue Cross Blue Shield sponsored event will be hosted by She ROCKS It, S.H.E. Inc, and She ROCKS It Magazine. The event is purposely designed to Celebrate the accomplishments of women from across the Chicagoland area and beyond. The gala will honor 14 women from around the Chicagoland area that was identified as Women You Should Know based on their contributions in areas such as community involvement, education, business, and entertainment.

Woodridge-based Skeleton Key Brewery has committed to supporting West Suburban Community Pantry in Woodridge and Wheaton-based The GardenWorks Project in their efforts to fight food insecurity in the regional community and help ensure our neighbors have access to fresh, healthy food.  The Skeleton Key team will be hosting volunteer days at the Pantry to help with restocking, sorting, and packing food.
