The Joliet City Council approved a public art contract for the creation of a 12-foot-tall, 19-foot-wide domed sculpture, “Dome of Unity”, by internationally recognized artist Sijia Chen, to be installed at City Square in downtown Joliet, at a cost not to exceed $197,000.
