“I’m glad to be working with numerous partners in helping United Way collect baby essentials,” said County Executive Bertino-Tarrant. “I invite residents to donate diapers and related items during this drive to support local families in need. We have worked to place donation sites in accessible locations throughout the county.”
Father’s Day, much more than flowers and gifts
“I like the fact we just spend the day together doing things like golfing or watching a baseball game,” said Duffy, a father of four. “We normally go to the White Sox game when they are in town on Father’s Day. Since they are on the road this Sunday, we will likely golf and have a barbecue.”
AARP “Smart Driver” Safety Course
Studies have shown that fewer fatal and injury-causing crashes and fewer violations occur among drivers who have taken this nationally recognized course. Upon completion of the course, each attendee is awarded a certificate.
Troy 30-C Boys and Girls Bowling Teams place 2nd in the ten games at the IESA Bowling State Championship
David Bruner was the Individual Sectional Boys Champion, and the TMS Boys were the Team Sectional Champions. Gianna Mendoza was Individual Sectional Girls Champion, and the TMS Girls Team finished third at Sectionals.

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) is a state and federal mandated program. The LTCOP advocates for residents in all long-term care facilities in both short-term rehab and long-term care. Residents under Ombudsman jurisdiction include the elderly, people with physical and/or mental disabilities and the developmentally disabled.
