Illinois to open Family Planning Clinics
“How dare the Supreme Court send women back 100 years,” she said. “I am an African-America woman in my 60s and this was something I never thought I would see in my lifetime. This was a protection for women, and it is our right to choose whether we want to carry a baby to term or no. We as women deserve to make decisions about our bodies. It will be sad if my daughter has fewer rights than I did growing up.”

Early voting opens at Will County Clerk’s office for General Primary Election
Over the past four years, County Clerk Staley Ferry has expanded the number of Early Voting locations to include the Spanish Community Center in Joliet, the Joliet Public Library Black Road Branch in Joliet, the Prairie Activity and Recreation Center in Plainfield, and the Louis Sherman Community Center in Steger.

Under the restructuring, the number of districts was reduced from 13 to 11, What was then district 8 is now district 6, which was expanded to include Rockdale and parts of the near West- Side of Joliet.
