“This clinic is open to all Will County residents in need of low-cost vaccinations and free microchips for their pets,” said County Executive Bertino-Tarrant. “Preventative care for your pets can help reduce veterinary costs in the future. This partnership between our Animal Control Department and SNIP Society is offering residents with a proactive opportunity to keep their pets healthy and safe.”
The new "Ready Will County" application allows residents to connect to emergency resources, including real-time alerts, preparedness information, warming & colling centers, and tools for reporting damage in a disaster.
“This funding is an investment into the health and well-being of our communities,” said County Executive Bertino-Tarrant. “Our use of ARPA dollars will play a critical role in elevating services and supporting our community’s infrastructure needs.”

The grand opening event featured a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the new behavioral health suite at the Community Health Center. The event was attended by Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14), Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant and by members of the Will County Board, Will County Board of Health and the Governing Council of the Community Health Center.
Will County will hold its annual week-long textile and small home goods collection May 8-12 at the County Office Building, 302 North Chicago St. Items will be accepted in the building parking lot between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily, with extended drop-off hours from 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12.
Illinois Treasurer Michael Frerichs is looking to reunite hundreds of thousands of Will County residents with more than $171.3 million in unclaimed cash and property.
The Well-Woman program is designed to inform women of child-bearing age in Will County about the importance of receiving annual preventive care visits with a provider while also removing barriers to receiving that visit.
“I am proud that my Office returned nearly $2.5 million to businesses throughout Will County through the Bad Check Restitution Program,” Glasgow said. “During its operation, 1,070 businesses received restitution. These businesses ranged from the smallest ‘mom and pop’ local merchants to some of the nation’s largest retailers operating locally.”
