Will County open house Public Information Meeting for study of Mills Road and Cherry Hill Road Corridor
Will County DOT is beginning Phase 1 of a study to identify improvements to the corridor, which consists of Mills Road from IL Route 53 to Cherry Hill Road and Cherry Hill Road from Mills Road to US Route 30. This corridor serves as a local gateway that connects many suburban, rural, and industrial properties.
Will County Health Dept., IDPH remind public to be aware for rabies infected animals
Bats are the most common source of potential infection in Illinois, and exposures from bats tend to be more frequent during the summer months, especially July and August. The disease can also be found in other wild animals, including raccoons, skunks, foxes, and coyotes.

Fight the Bite! First human case of West Nile virus detected in Will County
IDPH reported a total of 12 human cases of WNV have now been detected throughout the state. In addition to the case in Will County, seven were reported in Cook County while Kane, Macon, Madison, and Woodford counties all reported one positive case.
