Plainfield District 202 Bd. of Ed. approves new finance director
The District 202 Board of Education approved hiring Richard Engstrom as the district’s next Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations at its April 24, 2023, regular meeting.
Engstrom served as District 202’s finance director from 2014 to 2020.
He returns to the job after working in the Hinsdale 181 school district as Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations.

Nathaniel Hill sentenced to 80 years in 2020 Joliet Murder
On June 12, 2020, Hill and Williams-Scott had an argument while seated inside a car. During the argument, Williams-Scott struck Hill in the back of the head and left the car. Hill then left the car and shot Williams-Scott multiple times. He then fled the scene in the car both men were in.
