Illinois Lottery player is finalist for “Powerball First Millionaire of the Year “drawing

A Lottery player from Aurora could ring in the New Year $1 million richer after being selected as one of the finalists in the “Powerball® First Millionaire of the Year” drawing!
And the winner is going to be drawn live on air, just after midnight on New Year’s Eve, as part of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022” Linda Perkins from Aurora, IL is one of five finalists who were randomly selected, in a preliminary drawing, from a national pool of lottery players from across 29 U.S. lotteries. “I learned that I won from an email in the middle of my workday, so I was really shocked,” said Perkins. “I can’t believe it; I’m still having a hard time believing this – I’m in total shock.”

Illinois Attorney General's office give update on Joliet Police Department investigation

Lawyers from the Illinois Attorney General’s office encouraged Joliet residents to come forward to provide information that may be helpful in its civil investigation of the Joliet Police Department, which began
Sept. 8. During a Sept. 23 town hall meeting, attorneys part of the investigation examining whether JPD has a practice or pattern of civil rights violations, introduced themselves, gave an overview of what they will be working on and answered questions.

Tiger Buddies, founded eight years ago, is a student club that brings together PNHS general education and STAR PLUS / Intensive Program students. Virtual townhall meeting planned on probe into Joliet PD

A state investigation is underway into possible patterns or practices of unconstitutional or unlawful policing in Joliet and now the public is being asked to weigh in on the matter.
Attorney General Kwame Raoul is inviting members of the public to participate in a virtual town hall meeting discussing the investigation into the Joliet Police Department’s policing practices.
