Aventiv announced in April 2021 that Jackson, the son of Rainbow/PUSH founder The Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, would be helping with the lowering of the price of calls and other services for the incarcerated as Aventiv worked to change some of its business practices and respond to criticism of the industry.
Nine-year-old girl previously reported missing, found
The Will County Sheriff’s Office was contacted earlier this week and has announced that the 9 year old, they were attempting to locate has been found. In the late afternoon hours of Sept. 21, she was checked by a local law enforcement agency.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office is requesting help from the public regarding a missing 9-year-old female named Nalaya S. Patterson-Dean. Nalaya has been reported missing by extended family members due to family not having contact with Nalaya since Sept. 15. Nalaya has also been absent from her elementary school since that date.

The civil investigation follows request made by the Joliet Mayor and members of the Joliet City Council.
