NNPA NEWSWIRE — Sue Donovan, conservationist of University of Virginia told the reporters that the items, which included books and newspapers, had to be frozen and treated with special chemicals to dry the items. Conservationists were not completely certain what exactly they had because so many of the items were in envelopes and all items had to undergo a careful drying process before being fully revealed.

Family Members and Authorities Desperately Search for two Alabama Men Missing in California
NNPA NEWSSWIRE — Authorities said LaDexter Pelt, 25, of Green County, Alabama, and John DuBose Jr., 20, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, boarded a flight after Pelt celebrated his birthday. Authorities said they know that the men arrived in California, but their whereabouts remain a mystery.

The Senate is now deciding the fate of local news.
As part of the Build Back Better Act, the Senate is in the next few days considering an important proposal: providing a payroll tax credit to local news organizations to retain or hire local journalists.
Why? Local news is in a deep crisis. The internet has fundamentally broken the business model of most local newspapers. The number of reporters has dropped by more than half since 2000.
