Senator Schumer Urges Democratic Colleagues to ‘Demonstrate We Can Deliver Results’

NNPA NEWSWIRE — The Democrat-led House and Senate quickly passed a 30-day extension of the expiring Highway infrastructure program over the weekend. Sen. Schumer said the Bipartisan Infrastructure bill counts as a 5-year reauthorization of the Highway Trust Fund. He reminded his colleagues that it means that the new legislative goal for Democrats must be to enact that bill and the Build Back Better Act before the new expiration date at the end of October.

White House Responds to House Passage of President Biden’s $1.9 Trillion “American Rescue Plan”
