The Magic Parlour 50 W. Randolph Now though March 2024

Published on

The Magic Parlour at 50 W. Randolph, Chicago is breaking box office records and has been extended through March 2024 at its new permanent home in the heart of Chicago’s Loop. Established in partnership with Goodman Theatre and Petterino’s restaurant, The Magic Parlour is an intimate evening of classic magic and mind reading from third-generation magician Dennis Watkins.

Winner of the Joseph Jefferson Award for his appearance in the title role of Death and Harry Houdini, in which he performed the famed magician’s infamous Water Torture Cell escape, Watkins previously enjoyed phenomenal success at the Palmer House, where he opened The Magic Parlour in 2011.

Watkins is a master showman in every way. He could practically stand in front of a room and keep an audience enthralled with his mere presence; he’s that charismatic!

In The Magic Parlour he does classic magic material handed down from the father and grandfather, but with an alluring twist. He has the usual tricks up his sleeve (pun intended!), but adds the additional dynamic of being a mentalist. That’s where the audience comes into play, and this is the real draw to his show. An upgraded ticket allows audience members to also have a more private and up close experience with Watkins at the end of the regular performance.

Dennis Watkins’ The Magic Parlour is truly immersive. Even if you’ve seen many live magic shows in the past, there’s nothing quite like this one. It’s more than just entertainment. You, as member of the audience are right in the middle of all of it.

We all could use a bit of magic, particularly now, and Dennis Watkins’ The Magic Parlour has it in abundance. For more, visit the magicparlourchicago.com.
