Published on

Troy Township Seniors coordinated a school supply drive to help give kids in the community a great start to the school year. All supplies collected were donated to the Salvation Army and will be distributed through the Joliet Corps. Thanks to donations from the Township Seniors, local businesses, staff, and the public, our Troy Township Seniors made a significant donation to the kids in our community. The items collected included backpacks, lunch bags, crayons, markers, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, notebooks, binders, scissors, and many containers of hand wipes.  Thank you everyone for the generous donations!

The Salvation Army Joliet Corps at 300 3rd Ave, Joliet, IL will be hosting a Block Party on Saturday, Sept. 2nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where they will be distributing the school supplies. The Block Party is open to the public.  For more information contact the Joliet Salvation Army.
