Candidates in final days heading to Nov. 8th election

When asked about her accomplishments since 2020, Coleman said, “helping the veterans adjust to civilian life” is just one of the many accomplishments she cites during her time on the county board.  “I was able to help businesses and non-profits secure funding after Covid,” Coleman continued.  “I want to improve the lives of veterans by lowering the number of homeless vets in Will County.”

Veterans and suicide

Suicide is a national problem in the U.S. and a major concern for active-duty service members and military veterans. Members of the military may experience a variety of difficult and traumatic events including combat, natural disasters, and physical assault. According to the 2022 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report, there were 6,146 Veteran suicide deaths in 2020.
