Study Finds Six-Figure Earners Also Living Paycheck-to-Paycheck
While researchers found that most paycheck-to-paycheck consumers can pay their bills on time, one in every five Americans still require assistance to make ends meet.
Research conducted by Pymnts.com and LendingClub Corp. revealed that by the end of the year, 64 percent of American customers (166 million individuals) will be living paycheck to paycheck.

“It puts money in the pockets of struggling moms and dads all across the state,” he said during a Statehouse news conference. “And when we put money in the pockets of those working parents, we know that they can’t afford to save so they’re going to go out and spend that money on shoes for their kids, on health care that they’ve put off for too long, on food for their teenagers who love to eat.”

Walmart to close Plainfield location
Felicia McCranie, director of corporate affairs for Walmart, said the decision to close the Plainfield store was made after a review of more than 5,000 stores nationwide for financial viability. She said the Plainfield store “underperformed,” despite the fact Walmart was completely remodeled last year with several self-check out lanes at the front of the store and an expanded grocery area.

Joliet ranks high for safest cities to live
Joliet Police Chief Bill Evans said the city’s violent crime dropped slightly in 2022 as officers investigated seven homicides, which was an increase by two from the previous year. In 2020, Joliet had 15 homicides and recorded 19 murders the previous year.
